Mining ships are belching soot all over the other ships in my hanger. I can't seem to shut it off. I have asked Scotty, the docking manager to help clear a path to my most frequently used ships. It's burying spare parts, test equipment and other tools, with no end in sight. |

I have no complaints about the hull redesign. The previous color scheme was low contrast, low saturation, bland and inoffensive. The new color scheme brightens things up a bit, it works for me. |

So where is the 30% yield bonus for this ship? They moved numbers around to account for adding a strip miner, to preserve the same yield. It is supposed to mine the same amount as before.

Sgt Ocker wrote:Just wondering; Is there an off switch for the amateurish looking jump animation? [.....] IMO, some fluff can be good, if done right - Which this new jump animation just isn't. Although I support the idea of an "off switch," we are not seeing a "new" gate jump animation. If it was intentional, they would have announced it in the patch notes. Before it broke, it was a fast, smooth forced-camera move toward and rapidly through the gate, blending into a "jump tunnel" animation. It will probably get fixed at some point, when they sort out the problem.
I'm OK with the problem that causes the gate object to disappear most of the time; all they need do for a less intrusive gate jump process, is blend / fade out the current scene into the "jump tunnel" animation, and blend / fade in the next system, when it is loaded. |

Sylvia Kildare wrote:...we'll just see if they end up making the Thrasher look like a fatter Jackdaw (like some of the preview artwork made it look like they were considering a year or so back). I hope not. The Thrasher preview concepts looked too Caldari for my taste. When I started in 2008, the Minmatar aesthetic was rust, exposed girders, bailing wire, and duct tape. And I liked it. The refresh has been cleaning up and modernizing Minmatar, seeming to use the Tornado (which is wonderful) as a stepping off point. The Tempest lost its exposed girders, and I was sad. I think newly designed ships should be new, and older designs should be updated as graphics technology changes, with the lightest possible hand.
Look at this description: "The Wreathe is an old ship of the Minmatar Republic and one of the oldest ships still in usage." - with words like that, you don't need to overhaul the design, ever. The new frigate models would have been great as Tech 2 - if the older models were kept for Tech 1. The differences between T1 and T2 ships redesigned in the last year or two are too subtle, IMO. |
